Afrisocks Godiya Mudcloth Print Socks
Godiya is a Hausa slang word meaning “giving thanks” and expressing a feeling of deep gratitude and appreciation. The Hausa language is spoken throughout Northern Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, and Niger.
This design was inspired by Mudcloth, a traditional pattern, which originated with Bambara people who live in Mali, as well as Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Senegal.
