Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

You may return items that are in their original packaging, and are unused within 30 days of purchase for a refund.

Because kente cloth orders are made to order, they are not eligible for a refund unless the item is damaged, defective or you receive an incorrect order. Please ask as many questions as possible before placing your order to ensure that you get what you need.

Grocery items that have been opened or have expired since delivery are not eligible for returns.

Personal care items that have been opened or used are not eligible for returns and refunds.

An issues with your order must be reported within 14 days of delivery. 

At this time we do not offer free returns, so the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Please ship your return items with registered or signature delivery to ensure that we receive them.


What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing the order if the order has not been shipped. After this grace period, we are unable to cancel orders. You will need to send your item back to us then request a refund or exchange. 

Once an order cancellation request has been approved, a refund will be issued to the original method of payment. Please allow 7-10 business days for your bank to process the refund. 

Shipping charges are non-refundable for shipments that are refused by the customer.

How long do I have to return or exchange?

You can return items for a refund within 30 days of purchase. You can return items for an exchange within 14 days of purchase. 

Grocery items are eligible for returns/refunds only within 14 days of delivery. Grocery items cannot be exchanged.

Do you offer free returns?

At this time we do not offer free returns. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

How long does it take to receive my refund?

We process refunds as soon as we receive your return item and inspect it.

You may opt to have your refund processed as a store credit to your account or back to your original method of payment. Store credits are processed to your account within 24 hours.

Refunds to your original method of payment may take 7-10 business days for your bank to process the refund and reflect it in your account.


My return item was lost in the mail

If your return item is lost in the mail, we will not be able to issue you a refund or exchange. For this reason, we strongly advise that you to ship your return items via registered mail or signature delivery to confirm that we have received your return item.
